The Health Professions Pathways Program (HPPP) is dedicated to recruiting and supporting students from underrepresented regions and backgrounds to pursue careers in healthcare. This program aligns with our mission to alleviate healthcare worker shortages and enhance the well-being of our local community. Facilitated by the California Department of Health Care Access and Information's (HCAI) Health Professions Careers Opportunity Program, HPPP is designed to:
Inform and motivate minority and economically disadvantaged students to pursue health professional careers.
Offer academic enrichment, career development, and internships to underrepresented groups.
Address workforce shortages by fostering career pathways in the healthcare sector.
HealthForce Partners is proud to have been awarded a $ 1.7 million grant by HCAI to participate in the HPPP. This grant is a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to promoting diversity in the healthcare workforce and addressing healthcare accessibility challenges in the Northern San Joaquin Valley.
