Clinical/Field Supervisor, Behavioral Health Workforce Partnership
Dawn Costa joins HealthForce Partners as a Clinical Supervisor with more than 27 years of experience in social work including medical, behavioral health, social work education, and clinical supervision. A licensed clinical social worker with advanced certification in hospice and palliative care, Dawn has served in a range of settings across the Central Valley, including hospitals, county social work, home health and hospice organizations.
She continues to serve as a lecturer in the Master of Social Work program at CSU Stanislaus, where she has taught clinical practice, mentored MSW students, and supported field education and scholarship review. Dawn has also supervised MSW interns and associate clinical social workers through placements at school districts, county departments, and healthcare agencies. She also works as a therapist in a private practice in Modesto specializing in grief anxiety, depression and trauma. Her work reflects a longstanding commitment to growing the behavioral health workforce through mentorship, hands-on training, and high-quality clinical support.
