Summer Intern, HealthForce Partners
Asim Wahab joins HealthForce Partners as a full-time summer intern, bringing a strong academic foundation and a deep commitment to advancing health equity. A senior at the University of California, Berkeley, Asim graduates this May with a double major in Molecular & Cell Biology and Psychology. He is a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar and a member of the Biology Scholars Program.
Asim draws on lived experience to fuel his passion for behavioral health and community-based care. His work spans healthcare and psychology research, early childhood education, and direct patient support at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Charlie’s Clinic. At UC Berkeley, he contributes to research focused on prejudice, identity, and socialization in marginalized communities and leads outreach for a CalFresh/SNAP study aimed at understanding financial needs across East Bay households.
With aspirations to pursue an MD-PhD, Asim brings strong skills in research, data analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He is eager to help develop innovative, community-driven solutions that improve access and outcomes for underserved populations.
